End of an era in Scandinavia for World of Tanks squad

Since July the wKa WoT team has been waging tank warfare in Scandinavia. A frenzied battle first ensued to acquire a foothold in the southern peninsula, first working with Crimson Blade and their friends. After settling in and holding a respectable portion of land we were attacked by BSS upon CB's defeat. After finding ourselves the victors in quite a slugfest, we reached the climax of our territory ownership at 14 after BSS was vanquished. Not for long however, as GVN launched assaults on our southern flank while their friends hit the north. After rebounding multiple times from a single territory, the GVN fight ended in a stalemate. Both parties came to the table and a cease fire was agreed upon.

The result was that wKa would continue to fight on our northern and southern borders until our ultimate demise while GVN stayed out of the fight on the west. Everything was launched at us, and the best teams in the game showed up at our doorstep. Most of the battles we won, but those precious few that we lost made it that much harder to survive an onslaught from multiple coordinated strikes in every direction. After three long, grueling months our Headquarters was finally removed at the hands of the 503rd. Our time in Scandinavia has propelled us to the 3rd rung for most total victories won on the North American server, and a mere 2 victories short of 2nd place.

Lastly we will be promoting other individuals who have shown themselves capable into more leadership roles as Uber_Soldat, DocGolem and Nojo prepare to step back from running the everyday operations as BF3 comes out. wKa will now enter a new chapter in WoT as we decide where we want to go on the map next, and how to approach it. Whoever we end up attacking: may the best team win.

Ownership of 14 territories did not last long. Being the only clan not involved in the butt fucking aficionado's alliance, we were too tempting

a target for the pillow biters and saw 5 clans descend upon our borders. Unable to support 5 simultaneous battles, wKa had no choice

but to relinquish territory after territory to hostile forces. Ultimately we squared off against GVN once the other ankle biters were appeased and

we have been at constant war with them for two straight weeks ever since. The small bonus here is that again wKa has been forced to rethink map

strategy and tactics in the clan wars meta game and we're emerging an even better team once again. This conflict is very similar to the one we

had with BSS with the exception that GVN has seen significant support from other teams and wKa has had to fight off multiple other teams.

The battles with GVN have been a tug of war, and we've had a single province in multiple different scenarios. Additionally, all these battles has
finally propelled wKa to the leader boards -this time in the other category. Not being in any major alliance and without a huge bulk of our

victories being technical defeats, wKa members can hold their heads high for doing so well thus far and can look forward to furthering our progress

in our constant quest of raping nerds in World of Tanks. We cracked the top 10 in victories on the 7th. Here is our progress as of the 9th:

Good job assholes. The trick now is going to try to be in both top ten categories at once.

Pushing back from the brink of destruction to conquer BSS

Initially settling in the Scandinavian region in late June, wKa found themselves with a new home after being ousted from Spain. We had successfully

secured around 8 or 9 territories we could call our own and were quite happy. Shit hit the fan around June 22nd or so when a Chinese clan named

BrotherSharpSquad pushed through our northern neighbors and launched a full scale assault. Unprepared for two battles at once, BSS quickly

pushed us literally to the edge of the peninsula. This was the situation on June 26th:

And here we were at our lowest point on July 3rd, with a mere two territories to our name. The July 4th weekend nearly saw us teetering on the edge

of annihilation and we were getting fucked so hard in the ass by BSS that our shit started to smell like rotten chinese food.

Down, but not out of the action, wKa managed to get their act straight and finally fight back. BSS was surprised by wKa's ability to learn BSS's

strategies, countering them properly and efficiently. It was our turn now to do the buttfucking. It took a while to do so, but we marched BSS north

into the sea. This month long war was a downright slug fest, and even though BSS gave us some tough fights - wKa emerged the victor.

With the global map changing daily after the IR/AOD alliance crumbling, we see eager teams knocking at our doors every day testing us for weaknesses.

wKa will continue to establish our position in Norway and Sweden as a permanent one until the Beta version of clan wars expires. I'd like to congratulate

the players on wKa who participated in the BSS matches and put us in the top 10 by July 16th. Here is the picture as of the 18th:

World of Tanks domination moves north to Scandinavia

Our position unsecured in Spain, we moved north into Norway and Sweden.
wKa has continued to recruit skilled players for clan wars and our efforts have paid off.
We are recruiting on an invite only basis now, but still consider promising prospects.

wKa welcomes some new blood & CoD7 Leagues start Season 1.

The good news is that everyone got their heads on straight and finally decided the Search and Destroy format would be the primary one for CoD7. With IGL already underway and every other major league starting soon, here's an update on our CoD7 squads. Our Red squad roster is unchanged: UberDuberSoldat, DocGolem, Akane, GQ, Ranger, JoshBuddy & Perdure.

However after going through roster change after roster change, multiple squad leader disappearances, and outright instances of players going MIA, our Blue Squad finally has a somewhat stable roster. The new lineup includes multiple new recruits, formerly from Afflicted Gaming. Broski also joins, and Blue Squad is set to play their first league match tomorrow. The new Blue Squad: UglyGreen+, Phooka, Broski, Briggs, Scoop, Chuckster & DStealth.

ESL starts soon, with another Placement Cup event set for this Sunday. Matches for ESL should be Mondays.

IGL has been underway for a bit, we were late to join the party, and as such were only able to field one team for this league. We're currently in week 6. Matches for IGL are on Tuesdays.

CEVO will be a pay to play event, taking place on Thursdays. At $15/player, we expect to field a combined roster for this event, fielding the best 6 players who are willing to pay to play this terrible game. We will participate in the Open League for CEVO, with a potential prize purse of $2,000.

In the previous month, we have also switched from Ventrilo over to Mumble. While it might have its issues with GUI functionality, it is superior in latency and in game usability. So if you've been wondering why our Ventrilo isn't up anymore, see this thread to join us on Mumble here. Also, currently under development is a new website for wKa. Soon we can do away with the shitty Enjin backend and terrible forums. The new site should be finished within 2 months, and by the latest hopefully before BF3 is out.
